Joe Mace

Founder

Joe started his coffee career from a young age, quickly growing a passion for learning all about the science behind taste and flavour. Joe quickly became recognised as being an expert in flavour profiling and manual brewing techniques. His true passion lies in water, more specifically water for brewing coffee, when setting up Tamp and Grind, water quality was at the forefront of his mind. A big reason why our coffee tastes so good! 
He started Tamp and Grind back in 2016 with a simple theory that good coffee shouldn't be over complicated or cost the earth. Growing the business from a small mobile venture touring Cornwall and the West Country to where it is now, the starting of a small chain of Specialty Coffee Shops.

Steve Rogers

Head Barista

Steve began his coffee journey with Joe, not knowing a thing about coffee, back in 2015/2016. Since then Steve has grown to become an expert in espresso brewing and milk science. His knowledge of the hospitality industry can't be rivalled, bringing with him stellar performances as management in big name chains.

Gracie Mace

Co-Owner

Gracie is new to the industry, but what she lacks in experience in she makes up for in enthusiasm and charm. With tutoring from Steve and Joe we can be sure Gracie will take Tamp and Grind to the next level with her passion for coffee and learning.

Alix Parry

Barista

Alix is a new addition to the team and will prove to be a valuable addition to the team. With a proven track record in hospitality under her belt you can be sure that she will bring the best to Tamp and Grind.
